Jaguar’s much-awaited XE sedan will be launched in India at the next Auto Expo, scheduled to take place in February 2016. The car will take on the Audi A4, BMW 3-series, Mercedes-Benz C-class and Volvo S60. However, a company insider hinted that the XE could be priced slightly higher than rivals, owing to the fact that the XE for India is likely to be sold only in fully loaded form. Jaguar India wants to underscore the luxury aspect of its cars and company officials believe ‘base versions’ with few features work against that end.
While the final feature spec for India-bound XEs is not known as yet, what we do know is that a 161bhp, 2.0-litre diesel engine from Jaguar-Land Rover’s (JLR) latest Ingenium engine family will be the main motor for India. Eventually, a similar capacity petrol engine is also expected to join the line-up. Power will be transferred to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, though internationally, a six-speed manual will also be offered.
The F-Pace is one of the most important cars from Jaguar, as it forays into the SUV segment. Jaguar has confirmed its lineup for the Auto Expo 2016 in February, which will include the market launch of the entry-level Jaguar XE, and Indian debuts of the 2015 Jaguar XF and Jaguar F-Pace.
The Jaguar XE will be powered by JLR’s Ingenium range of 2.0-liter diesel engines, which is available in two power states in other markets: 163 PS/380 Nm or 180 PS/430 Nm. Also rumored to be included is the 2.0-liter petrol variant with 200 PS, and the 340 PS XE S with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 petrol engine
Jaguar XJ Connectivity
Jaguar has taken the wraps of its updated flagship sedan, the XJ. The 2016 Jaguar XJ gets subtle exterior design changes, new luxurious materials on the inside, smart multimedia and connectivity systems, a new diesel motor, a new electric power steering and a host of safety systems.
The Jaguar XJ range has now expanded, thanks to the addition of a new top-of-the-line, 'Autobiography' variant. The complete range of the Jaguar XJ is as follows: XJ Luxury, XJ Premium Luxury, XJ Portfolio, XJ R-Sport, XJR and XJ Autobiography.
The Jaguar XJ range gets a more powerful 3.0-litre, V6 diesel motor which develops a peak power of 300PS instead of 275PS with a maximum torque of 700 Nm. All this is sent to the rear wheels.
The petrol engines remain the same, this includes a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine developing 240PS / 340 Nm with power sent to the rear wheels. The 3.0-litre V6 petrol developing 340PS / 450 Nm is available either with RWD or AWD.
The top-of-the-line 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine is available in three states of tune - 470PS / 575Nm, 510PS / 625Nm and 550PS / 680Nm. This is only available with a rear-wheel drive drivetrain.

After the launch of the new Figo twins, Ford India has shifted its focus to bringing in the new Endeavour. The upcoming Ford Endeavour is also known as the Everest in other markets. It was first showcased as the 'Everest concept' in Sydney, Australia in 2013, and later unveiled at the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show. The production-ready car not just borrows traits from the concept, but looks almost similar, apart from the new alloy wheels. It maybe noted that the model currently on sale here has been unable to keep pace with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport . With new generation models of both SUVs headed our way, an early 2016 launch will give the new Endeavour a significant advantage. And there is more to the latest version of the Fortuner than just the cosmetic makeover. It is based on a new ladder frame chassis in order to beef up its off-road capabilities.
The new Ford Endeavour India launch is just weeks away and Ford India has already confirmed that the new Ford Endeavour India launch will take place in January 2016.
Expect the upcoming model to retail for INR 22-26 lacs (ex-showroom). If Ford is serious about taking on the Toyota Fortuner then pricing will be very crucial and with the next gen Fortuner still almost a year away, getting a headstart in this segment will benefit the Endeavour.

The GLE Coupe SUV will add to the existing line-up of the GLA, GLE and the GL sports utility vehicles. The plush SUV aims at delivering the performance of a coupe combined with the utility of an SUV. The 450 AMG variant houses the 3.0-litre twin- turbocharged petrol V6 engine that develops 362hp of power at 5500rpm and 516Nm of torque from 1800rpm. It will be powered by the same twin-turbo 6.6-liter V12 engine powering the Rolls Royce Ghost and Wraith.
